RESUME

Prior to graduating SUNY Oneonta, Alexis Taylor Grossman was a Customer Service Representative at the University’s Information Technology Services desk. At the same time, Alexis served as an intern at Oneonta City Court. In these dual roles, Alexis demonstrated her proficiencies as a self-disciplined, resilient, versatile, coachable and hard-working individual. Her background in customer service and in the leadership of others allowed her to thrive.

In her training position with Oneonta City Court, she built on her strong work ethic while assisting in clerical duties, such as aiding court users in paying fines and assisting with court calendars. She was also responsible for conducting interviews with court staff such as judges, the chief clerk, and court security, and participating in “ride alongs” with the Oneonta City Police Department.

As a Customer Service Representative with the IT Services Division of SUNY Oneonta, Alexis helped users in the computer labs, and monitored the status of laboratory computers and printers. She also provided technical assistance to users over the phone, and helped walk-in visitors as well as users in the residence room, office, and classroom. She answered telephones, greeted the public in a courteous manner, and logged all calls in the Information Technology Services database.

After graduating SUNY Oneonta, she participated in the 2015 Summer Intern Program for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office where she paired with one of many district attorneys in order to complete relevant tasks in one of the twelve bureaus on site. She also assisted in preparing cases for trial, investigation, and appeal, observed cases on trial, completed clerical duties, and interacted with attorneys and judges. Throughout the internship, she observed the inner workings of the office by working alongside proficient individuals.

She is now a Juris Doctor Candidate at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She is a Student Member of the Nassau County Inn of Court, and a 1L Representative for the Student Bar Association.
